Join us for this introductory workshop designed to provide practical strategies for supporting students with special learning needs using ready-made and shared activities made with Boardmaker.  We will show how to find and access and edit both print and interactive activities, and discuss ways to implement in individual, small group or classroom instruction. 

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

-Discuss strategies and criteria for accessing ready-made and shared symbol-supported materials in Boardmaker Online.                 

-List the benefits of using symbol-based materials for students with special learning needs.                                                                    

-Give 4 examples of ready-made resources to support language and literacy for your students.                                                     

-Describe data collection within Boardmaker to support student assignments.

This course is offered for .1 ASHA CEUs (Introductory level, Professional level) through Sept. 12, 2018

Instructor Bio- Sandy Klindworth is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 35 years of experience working with children with special needs in public school and private practice settings in Texas.  She is currently a part of the Boardmaker Education and Learning Applications Team, creating and presenting live and web-based training and supporting materials for parents and professionals.
