Description: Did you know that vocabulary skills are a great predictor of academic success? Vocabulary building is an important focus of instruction for all students, especially those with language delays or disorders. Come to this webinar to learn 10 fun and effective ways to use Boardmaker Online to boost vocabulary skills in your classroom or therapy sessions.

Participants will be able to:

1. Describe options for sharing vocabulary-building activities among professionals on the Boardmaker Online Community.

2. List 2 Templates appropriate for each of the following areas of vocabulary instruction: Identification, labeling, describing, classifying, and literacy.

3. Discuss how progress toward semantic goals is monitored with performance tracking assignments.

Presented by: Sandy Klindworth is a speech language pathologist with over 30 years of experience working with individuals with complex communication needs. Prior to coming to DynaVox Mayer-Johnson in 2007, she had a long career as a school based SLP and then worked in her own, AAC-focused private practice. She has been a member of the Boardmaker Implementation Team at Tobii Dynavox for 2 years.
