EyeMaxThe DynaVox EyeMax System is the newest, most advanced access method available to communicators who use the DynaVox Vmax. The EyeMax System can be used by people of all ages and abilities with direct vision in one or both eyes. It provides freedom for limited head movement, so the system never needs to be manually focused.
HeadMouse® ExtremeHeadMouse Extreme allows individuals challenged by significant physical disabilities to access DynaVox V and Vmax devices quickly and easily. It is mounted to the device, and measures the augmented communicator’s head movements. This technology uses an infrared light to track a small disposable target that is placed on the user’s forehead or glasses. An integrated electronic tilt sensor allows the HeadMouse Extreme to be used in even the most unusual mounting situations.
Tracker ProThe Tracker Pro operates from the USB port of the V or Vmax and gives people with significant physical disabilities the ability to control their device without separate battery packs or power adapters. Mount the Tracker Pro in the location that best suits your needs. The high-resolution camera tracks a tiny reflective dot worn on your forehead or glasses. Clicking is accomplished with switches or by dwelling.
SCATIR SwitchThe Self-Calibrating Auditory Tone Infrared (SCATIR) Switch is designed for use by persons who experience difficulty in activating mechanical switches. It is a momentary-contact optical switch with auditory feedback. The SCATIR switch works by detecting a beam of reflected pulsed infrared light. It is suitable for use with a variety of control gestures, such as eye-blink, eyebrow movement, finger movement, head movement, and facial muscle movement. It can be activated at a distance so the controlling body part does not need to be in physical contact with the switch sensor.
Keyguards and Moisture Guards Keyguards from DynaVox are clear solid coverings that enhance efficiency for those with limited fine motor skills. They are available in a variety of layouts that match the layouts of the InterAACT page sets and templates included with the V and Vmax software.
Transportation Carrying CasePadded and water-resistant, these cases make it easy to safely transport the V or Vmax and its power supply.
User-Accessible Carrying Case The case protects the V or Vmax while allowing you to use it without removing it from the case. The device can also be mounted while in the case. A shoulder strap and handle are included for carrying ease and comfort.
Mounting Options For convenience and ease of use, mount the V or Vmax using mounting plates to attach to desk mounts, rolling floor stands, or wheelchairs. Both Daessy mounting plates and standard VESA 75 and VESA 100 fittings are available.
Backpack Carrying Case for the VThis two shoulder backpack can fit a V with a smaller front pocket perfect for the charger or even some school supplies. The backpack has a strip that can be buckled around the waist to help disperse the weight t the hips.
PhoneIT PhoneIT affords augmented communicators the opportunity to hold private telephone conversations by connecting a standard telephone landline to their V or Vmax device. Augmented communicators can use PhoneIT to “pick up” and “hang up” the receiver, and dial phone numbers. Setup is simple and straightforward.
AccessITAugmented communicators using the V or Vmax devices can wirelessly access Windows®-based computers with AccessIT from DynaVox. Avoid the hassles of using two different keyboards and connecting wires or cables. For ease of use and portability, AccessIT connects to and is powered through the computer’s USB port. And, for individuals challenged by significant communication and physical disabilities, AccessIT provides an easy, streamlined alternative to the traditional computer keyboard.
Internal Battery and Charger Kit This kit includes a field replaceable internal battery for a V and Vmax as well as the AC charger cradle to charge the battery when not installed. (Both items are also available separately.)
Internal BatteryReplacement or extra internal batteries can be charged outside of the device with an external charger accessory.
AC Charger for Internal Battery This AC charger cradle re-charges the internal lithium ion battery using household current.
External BatteryThe V or Vmax can also be powered by an external flat battery that plugs into the charger port on the device and provides additional runtime. Use the AC charger adapter to charge the external battery.
12V AdapterYou can also use a 12V power source (such as the cigarette lighter in your car) to power your V and Vmax. The adapter end plugs in to any 12V receptacle and the other end plugs in to the charger port on the V and Vmax.
AC Charger Adapter and Power Cord One AC charger adapter and power cord ships with each V or Vmax. This device charges the device’s internal battery while installed in addition to powering the device. Extras are available for customers who want to keep charger adapters in several locations or who need to replace a lost or damaged charger adapter.
Standard (Open) Device KeyThe V and Vmax are available in either “dedicated” (closed) or “standard” (open) configurations. A dedicated device is one that is used solely for AAC and meets specific Medicare funding requirements.
