Practical and to the point.
Engineering Dynamic Displays (EDD) is a language application program developed by speech-language pathologists Pamela S. Elder, M.A., CCC-SLP, and Carol Goosens, Ph.D., CCC-SLP. It is designed especially for adults and adolescents who have moderate to severe developmental delays or visual or motor limitations. Access methods include direct selection or scanning. Easy to use and learn, EDD features sentence-based vocabulary sets centered on basic life routines, school and job settings, and care team communication. The vocabulary promotes age-appropriate social communication for both adolescents and adults. In addition, messages can be customized to meet the augmented communicator’s preferences.
