Integrating augmented communicators in the classroom.
DynaLessons, a teaching support tool developed by Marshall Fenig, M.A., CCC-SLP, M.Ed, and Gail Hallenberg, M.S., CCC-SLP, makes it easy for educators to include children using V or Vmax devices in the classroom. Teachers create lessons on the device that support the general curriculum, resulting in a dynamic and successful learning experience for the student. A set of prepared lessons is also part of the DynaLessons package. They are appropriate for the entire class and include suggested at-home activities and instructional strategies. Regardless of their skill level, AAC students have the opportunity to develop interactive, social, and academic skills in a classroom setting.
