Communicate 4 is designed to give adults and youth easy access to words grouped into contexts such as daily routines, health care, and community activities. It contains over 250 pages and pop-ups, including “small talk” messages, time-sensitive messages, and preprogrammed sentences and phrases. Suitable for direct selection or scanning access methods, Communicate 4 can be used in either a text-based format or with Picture Communication Symbols®. A variety of message-generating options facilitate fast, efficient communication. And various customization options mean Communicate 4 can be tailored to fit the needs and preferences of the individual user.

Based on extensive input from augmented communicators, Communicate 4 was developed by Barbara Collier, speech-language pathologist, Paul Janzen, assistive technology consultant, and Susie Blackstien-Adler, occupational therapist.
