Communications and Connectivity

Access Methods:

  • Blink – Quickly make selections with a simple blink of the eye.
  • Dwell - Make selections by gazing at on any object on the screen for a predetermined amount of time.
  • Dwell/Blink Combination – Choose what works
    best in any situation – make selections with a simple blink or by dwelling on an object on the screen for a predetermined amount of time.
  • Select with Switch - Make selections by activating a switch while gazing at the desired object. The system can also be 'powered on' with a switch hit, allowing the user to independently engage the system.

Configuration Options

All DynaVox speech-generating devices are available in Dedicated or Standard setups. The Dedicated setup runs communication software only and is designed to meet the "speech-generating device" criteria established by Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party insurers. With the Dedicated setup users will not have access to other applications on the system.
