DynaVox Technologies Announces Series 4 Companion and Speaking Software
The Power of Series 4 Devices Now Available for Computers
PITTSBURGH, PA - June 3, 2005 - DynaVox Technologies today announced the
release of DynaVox Series 4 Companion Software and Speaking Software. Extensions
of the company?s Series 4 product line, the Companion and Speaking Software applications
provide individuals challenged by significant speech disabilities who prefer computer-based
communication solutions with effective, efficient communication.
Combining elements of the DynaVox DV4 and MT4 with new features, both applications
can be used on tablet, laptop or desktop computers running Windows XP or Windows
2000. Features include:
- Seventeen pre-programmed page sets with 1200+ communication pages.
- Time saving communication and programming tools: Page Creation Wizard, User Setup
Wizard, Communication Page Templates and several rate enhancement tools.
- Multiple symbol sets: New DynaSyms, Classic DynaSyms and Picture Communication Symbols
(PCS).
- Multiple voice options. VeriVox and DECtalk are included with both applications.
Series 4 Speaking Software also includes AT&T Natural Voice speech synthesis.
Available only to Series 4 hardware customers, the Companion software can serve
as a valuable backup for times when the DV4 or MT4 is unavailable, or in the event
that critical data is inadvertently deleted from the device.

of requests from the AAC community," said Rich Herrle, DynaVox Technologies' Series

and their care teams will find this software delivers just what they want - robust

on the same device."
