DynaVox Systems Introduces the DynaVox DV4 and DynaVox MT4 Augmentative Communication
is Easier and More Powerful than Ever Before
PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 16, 2003 - DynaVox Systems LLC announced two new
augmentative and alternative communications (AAC) products, enabling those with
significant speech disabilities to communicate with greater speed and ease.
The DynaVox MT4 and DynaVox DV4 were introduced at the annual Closing the Gap Conference
in Minneapolis, MN. Extensions of the company's current product line, theDV4 and
MT4 also enable speech-language pathologists to better assist clients to speak what's
on their minds.
The DV4 and MT4 allow AAC communicators to follow a natural message formation process
that makes conveying simple or complex thoughts easy and effortless. VeriVox, the
most natural sounding voices included on any synthesized AAC device, are exclusive
to DynaVox products and are featured on the DV4 and MT4. Computer accessibility
and an onboard universal remote control improve quality of life for users.
Seventeen pre-programmed page sets provide the foundation for communication success,
reducing - and in some cases eliminating - the need to create communication/vocabulary
pages from scratch. Developed by a team of speech-language pathologists with decades
of AAC experience, including Joan Bruno, PhD, CCC-SLP, these page sets can meet
the ?eeds of children, teens and adults with varying cognitive and physical abilities.
Templates provide a quick and easy way to add custom vocabulary without the need
to create entire communication pages from scratch. Also, individual pages can be
combined for greater flexibility.
