As we all are aware, those who are unfamiliar with AAC often have one of two response: their are very interested in the technology or they are weary of it. It has been my experience that most show interest, except for small children who are naturally skeptical of anything unfamiliar to them. I look at it as an opportunity to expand their way of thinking and world of possibility. Children often warm up after they hear their name from my Dynawite. In fact, they often want to hear the names of their whole family. Use that to expand their knowledge of AAC by showing them how your particular device works. How so you seize an opportunity to introduce AAC?
