The Virtual Classroom is an online learning environment that features a live instructor
and several students at remote sites. Virtual classes are short and focused, making
it easy for you to gain the knowledge you need at the times and locations that
best meet your demanding schedule.
Please note: Registration is required for live sessions and closes one full day before a session starts. Sessions are limited to 25 people and may be cancelled if fewer than three people register. Confirmation and details for participating will be e-mailed to you shortly after registration is completed. A reminder e-mail will be sent 24 hours before the start of a session. We request that you join the session 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to ensure that you are ready when the instructor begins the presentation.

The Gateway© Paradigm: Formula for Efficiency and Linguistic Competence with Joan Bruno

This session will review the new Gateway© Paradigm, highlighting the key language features of each page set category (i.e., Learning Language, Language Disordered; Linguistically Competent). A user profile for each category will be presented. Participants will walk through the new efficiency features of Gateway Pro, Gateway 60 and Adult Gateway 40 demonstrating how these page sets reduce key selections and the need to navigate from the Main page. Joan Bruno, author of Gateway©, will present this session.

What is InterAACT?

At DynaVox, we believe that every augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system should support successful day-to-day communication while encouraging the development of novel language skills. Getting Started with the V and Vmax

The goal is to save you time and effort while still providing the best vocabulary and strategies for the V or Vmax user.

Advanced Series 5: Email

Each V or Vmax devices comes with a free email account. Learn how to set up this account and use it to send and receive email. We will discuss how the V/Vmax email features and behaviors (e.g., selecting one button to email the contents of the message window, sending emails with symbols, and reading incoming emails), make this a viable means of communication for individuals at many different levels.

Advanced Series 5: Computer Access

The V and Vmax devices are built on a full functioning computer platform. Unless access to the computer has been restricted (i.e., the device is “locked”) the DynaVox software can be used to access computer applications, enter text, search the web, and perform any standard computer function. During this session, we will discuss the benefits of integrated computer access and demonstrate how powerful it can be.

Join a Virtual Classroom Session, You Must First Register!
Approximately
15 minutes before
the session's scheduled
starting time, please use the following steps to join this session: |

Click on the following link (or type this address in your web browser):
https://dynavoxtech.webex.com.
*Please note that there is no "www" in this address. |

2. |
Click on the tab labeled "Today" about half-way
down the page. You will see the name of the all the sessions offered on this day.
Find the name of the session you for which you have registered and click
"Join Now" at the far right side of the screen. |
|
3. |
Enter your registration ID and the session password. You will find these two numbers
in your registration and confirmation e-mails. If your registration ID is not available,
you will be able to follow a link to have the information e-mailed to you again.
Please note that the registration ID is not the same as the session number. |

4. |
Click "OK" and wait for the Training Manager web page to appear.
Please click "set up"
to begin this process. You may be asked set up the Training Manager even if you
have done so before. This is perfectly normal. |
|
5. |
When the Training Manager web page appears, a prompt will appear to provide you
with the phone numbers necessary to join the teleconference. Please call the appropriate
number and follow the voice prompts. If you joined the teleconference before signing
in on the computer, you can ignore the prompt. |

6. |
You should now be ready for your Virtual Classroom session. Enjoy! |

directions, please call the toll-free number listed in your registration and confirmation
