Education Specialists

Bryan Gold, M-SLP, CCC-SLP

Bryan Gold is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who joined the Clinical and Product Applications Department at DynaVox Technologies in April 2007.  He earned his Master of Speech-Language Pathology degree from Duquesne University, in Pennsylvania.  Prior to joining DynaVox, Bryan worked for several years in the public school system.  He worked in a special education center for students with severe to profound disabilities, as well as in Early Intervention.  Bryan’s previous professional experience also includes work in a rehabilitation center and skilled nursing facilities.


Linnea McAfoose, CCC-SLP

Linnea received her Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.  She spent 12 years working as a Speech Language Pathologist with children ages 2 –21 with multiple disabling conditions.  Linnea has PA state teaching certification and has spent most of her career working in a school setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.  In this capacity, she was responsible for assessment and implementation of a wide range of both low- and high-tech AAC systems.  Currently, Linnea is a clinical product manager at DynaVox and works closely with the product development team to provide appropriate langauge and communication strategies for individuals with complex communicaiton needs.


Holly Schneider, CCC-SLP

Holly Schneider has experience as an Elementary & Intermediate English and Language Arts teacher. After graduating with a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, she began a clinical career as an SLP in an outpatient rehabilitation hospital, working with clients ranging in age from adolescent to geriatric. After discovering a passion for ACC, she took a position as a sales consultant with DynaVox Technologies.  Currently, Holly is an Education Specialist in the Clinical & Product Application department, aiding in the development of new products and applications, and presenting DynaVox products and services to clinicians and consumers.

Kristin Whitfield, CCC-SLP

Kristin Whitfield is a gradduate of Augustana College and the University of Minnesota.  Clinically, she has worked in outpatient clinic, school, rehabilitation hospital and home-based settings in Maine, Illinois, South Dakota, and Michigan.  In all of these settings, she has specialized in the use of augmentative and alternative communication with both adults and children. In addition to her clinical practice, Kristin has presented on the topic of AAC at local and national conferences, and has had several articles appear in AAC publications.  Currently, she is manager of the Clinical and Product Applications Department at DynaVox Technologies.
