Spanish Communication Solution Now Available: DynaVox Enhances Series 5 Product Offerings
PITTSBURGH, PA – August 21, 2007 - DynaVox Technologies today announced the release of Series 5 communication software version 1.03. This version provides those using V and Vmax augmentative communication devices or Series 5 Speaking Software the ability to speak in Spanish or English.
Featuring AT&T Latin American Spanish voices, software version 1.03 provides Spanish speakers with the same robust InterAACT language framework that English speaking users are employing to successfully enhance their communication experiences and develop language and literacy skills.
Software version 1.03 gives speech-language professionals valuable tools that allow them to help Spanish and English speaking clients develop critical communication skills, while presenting these same clients with a variety of tools that make it easy to communicate and be understood in person, on the phone, or via text message or e-mail.
Additional enhancements provided by Series 5 software version 1.03 include:
- Spanish How-To Help and Training modules on the device.
- Keyboards that include keys for diacritical marks used in the Spanish language.
- The ability to include different languages on the same page, or quickly change between Spanish and English pages to allow bilingual users to easily communicate in the language most appropriate for the situation.
- Menus and prompts that can be viewed in either language.
Series 5 software version 1.03 is provided free-of-charge to all Series 5 customers. Existing customers wishing to add Spanish-language capabilities to their V, Vmax or Series 5 Speaking Software should call 1-866-DynaVox to request the Spanish option version of 1.03.
