Responsibilities will include development of a content sharing site, software web registration tools, and integration of desktop software with internet services. The qualified candidate will have an extensive knowledge of those issues associated with designing and developing high-level web applications using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, C#, and ASP.Net with AJAX extensions. A strong understanding of object-oriented development using .NET libraries for both web and desktop development is essential. Experience with ADO.Net and database integration is a plus. The qualified candidate will have an extensive knowledge of those issues associated with designing and developing high-level, stand-alone, GUI Win32 applications using Microsoft Developers Studio, and MFC. A strong understanding of C/C++ and object oriented development issues is also important. Experience with C#, ASP.Net and ADO.Net is also highly desirable. GRAPHICAL DATABASE STRATEGIST
DynaVox Systems, the leader in the augmentative communication field, is actively recruiting for a Language & Symbol Strategist to serve as the lead point of contact for all projects related to the design, development and maintenance of a large library of graphics, which includes simple line drawings, illustrations and photo libraries. These graphics are used as visual representations to supplement written and spoken language on core augmentative communication and special education technologies. This position will also be responsible for managing a team of graphic artists. Qualifications include Bachelors Degree in linguistics, foreign language studies, logic, or speech language pathology. Masters degree preferred. The successful candidate should possess strong project management skills, experience managing significant amounts of data, expertise with content management tools and a strong understanding of basic scripting languages preferred.
